In 2022, Kyle founded his first company, AquaPoro Ventures, Ltd, which is commercializing atmospheric water harvesting technology invented in his research group. Before launching AquaPoro Ventures, Kyle served as Senior Assistant to HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan for Scientific Affairs and Executive Director, Scientific Research at the Royal Scientific Society in Amman, Jordan, and was a founding leader of the University of California, Berkeley Global Science Institute – an organization that partners with universities, foundations, governments, and industry to create research centers that address global problems. His 15+ year research career focuses on using the principles of reticular and materials chemistry for applications in water, clean energy, health, and the environment. He has co-authored more than 55 publications, including 6 in Science or Nature-family journals, with over 22,000 citations.
