Kyle E. Cordova is a champion for creating impactful global research opportunities in the foundational and applied sciences. By working with institutions of higher education, governments, not-for-profit organizations, and foundations, he is able to democratize scientific research in a way that emerging scholars are given access to places to perform scientific research, in meaningful ways, in their home countries.

Kyle’s success is a result of the effectiveness of his mentoring approach. He uses the art and science of discovery in his own research programs to help emerging scholars around the world perfect the making and study of new materials and to use those creations to deliver solutions to outstanding problems in energy, environment, sustainability, health, and water.

Research Interests

Kyle’s research is founded upon the discovery of new functional materials through intelligent design. Though heavily motivated by understanding the fundamental nature of these materials’ structures, he pursues their use in practical, real-world applications.

Global Science

Kyle’s life mission is dedicated to partnering with science institutions in research-weak and -strong countries to create and build research opportunities for emerging scholars. His work has contributed to the establishment of physical centers of research excellence in dozens of countries spanning the globe.
